Things kicked off with a bang last night as cold brew coffee old fashions were served during Roast House‘s latte art competition sign ups. Barista’s came from Idaho and Washington to meet in one place and show their skills.
Roast House did things a little differently. 16 Barista’s competed bracket style and as each competitor approached the Modbar, judges called out hears, rosettas and tulips. Competitors were required to pour whatever was called, otherwise they lose that round.
Not only did Roast House go above and beyond with their competition style, they also did things right when it came to food. The Blackbird served everything bagel wings, sweet and smoke popcorn and pork belly appetizers. The Scoop ice cream served delicious flavors out of their vintage truck parked outside.
The community came out to support their barista friends and competitors. Congratulations to all those who poured, especially the guy who poured his latte in a kitchen laddel. That guy was rad.
Most of all, Congratulations to our top 3 winners who left with a pocket full of prizes.
