The 804-002 pairs a SHURflo 8025 pump with a 21 oz accumulator. The pump charges the tank; the tank delivers a smooth 90 PSI max to one or more valves. Result: consistent fill rates, fewer pressure dips mid-service, and less wear on the booster itself.
This is line-pressure equipment. It does not create the 9 bar at the puck. Your machine still does that.

How to install
- Mount the board near the machine, air valve on the tank accessible.
- Plumb 3/8" supply to the inlet barb (PTFE on any threaded adapters).
- Plumb outlet to the machine or filter inlet.
- Confirm tank pre-charge with a tire gauge before first run.
- Plug into a grounded 115V outlet. Prime by opening a valve until flow is solid.
If the pump short-cycles, check for air on the inlet side and verify the accumulator still holds charge. A flat tank is the #1 “new pump still chatters” call.

Do I need a booster pump if my espresso machine has a water tank?
No. Reservoir machines already feed the brew pump from the tank. A booster is for plumbed machines (or a remote tank feeding a plumbed inlet) when incoming pressure is low or missing.
Will the SHURflo 804-002 work with a bottled water jug or coffee cart?
Yes, if the pump can self-prime the lift (max 8 vertical feet) and the inlet is sealed so it doesn't suck in air. For simple bottle-to-machine carts, many shops use a Flojet demand pump instead. Choose 804-002 when you need 90 PSI boost and an accumulator, not just on-demand flow.
Is this the same as the brew pump inside the espresso machine?
No. This boosts incoming line pressure (up to 90 PSI / ~6.2 bar). The machine’s rotary or vibratory pump still builds brew pressure at the puck (~9 bar).
What water pressure does a plumbed espresso machine need?
Most rotary-pump commercial machines want a stable, modest inlet, typically in the 2–4 bar / ~30–60 PSI range after filtration, not a dead line and not unregulated street pressure. The 804-002’s job is to hold that supply steady when the building cannot.
Can the SHURflo mini boost pump run dry?
Yes. The 8025 diaphragm pump is designed to run dry briefly without burning out. Do not treat that as a license to leave the supply empty; air in the inlet is what causes endless cycling.
What fittings does the 804-002 use?
3/8" barb on both inlet and outlet. Both fittings are removable. Use NSF hose and the EP quick-disconnect assembly if you are feeding from a container.
Is the SHURflo 804-002 NSF listed?
