Detailed Description
Commercial pressurestat for 110~120/220~240V equipment, #P302-6. Regulates boiler heating via a diaphragm that expands and contracts as the boiler steam pressure raises and lowers, activating the contacts and sending a signal to the heating element telling it to turn on and off. Approximately 4" x 2 1/2" x 4". 1/4" fitting
Weight: 1 pound six ounces Of course any will work, but if there is room for it, go with the Sarai. It is a purely mechanical part, and so there's no micro-switch to go out. The diaphrams go bad, and the contacts get fried. But the Sarai is essentially two or three pressurestats, depending on how many wires are used in your unit. There are six connections. When the contacts on the first set of contacts go bad, simply move the two wires over to the next set. European Espresso machine manufactures use British Standard Pipe fittings in their equipment. To measure a fitting, one measures the inside diameter of the male thread on a fitting. In most cases. Specialized fittings of course may have a wider or more narrow opening depending on the application and desired volume or flow rate through the fitting. But for the most part, it's the inside of a male fitting that is measured. A 1/4" Male BSP fitting will measure 13mm on the outside diameter, for what that's worth.... My wife and I have a busy 6 day a week shop and use a 4 group LaMarzocco Linea. I know this Pressurestat has problems about every other year, but I didn't order the replacement in time. EP made my lack of planning their emergency and delivered the part as promised. Over 5 years of great service.

I replaced my scrappy pressurestat on my prosumer machine with this one. When it arrived, the first thing I noticed was that it's a huge part (I failed to pay attention to the dimensions clearly listed in the description) compared to the small round one it was replacing. Fortunately, there was enough empty space inside the machine to fit this in without any modifications. While it is perhaps overkill for my e61-based small heat exchanger type of espresso machine, it's really nice and the temperature seems to be more stable. It's a robust part that should last forever.
