Great for low temperature applications. 4 ounces of Sanitary Petrol Gel Lubricant, NSF Approved. Applications for this product include use in grinder cams and collars, dishwashers, granita machines and blenders. It is a petroleum-based lubricant, and is not recommended for nitrile (NBR), ethylene (EPDM) or fluoroelastomer (e.g.: Viton®) based rubbers (due to the potential of swelling), and should only be applied to silicone seals and gaskets. Additionally, note the relatively low melting point of 195° F, which is below the average operating temperature of espresso machines components.
For high temperature applications, please consider using the MOLYKOTE® "DOW" 111 silicone compound.
