This E61 Group standard bottomless or naked portafilter features a clean precision cut and chrome job where a bottom and spout once resided. This portafilter will fit most any E61 style group head machine from manufacturers such as Astra, Faema, Grimac, Iberital, Magister, V.F.A., Wega and some Brasilia models (check the bayonet orientation from the above images).
Taste the difference this Portafilter can make. Our bottomless portafilters are professionally machine milled to get the cleanest, smoothest cut possible. The Barista can watch the coffee brew right from the bottom of the filter basket and now immediately know if channeling occurs, signaling the user that a level tamp was not made, which makes this an invaluable tool for training. All true professional baristi and coffeegeeks alike should have one. Most Bottomless Portafilters will accept 21 gram triple baskets since portafilter body depth is no longer an issue. This item will come standard with a 21 gram triple basket (EPMZ_108).
This is an item that has created quite a stir in the specialty coffee hobby and trade. The Bottomless Portafilter has been referred to as Naked and Crotch-less, but what ever you call it, it is truly a revelation and an innovation and Espresso Parts brought it to you first.

Isomac and Giotto users! As the Isomac and Giotto use an E61 "style" group and the casting is slightly different than a traditional Faema E61, this may not work for you. We do not currently carry portafilters specifically for the Isomac, Elektra, Expobar or ECM, which all claim to have E61 groups, but are in fact slightly different. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU MEASURE YOUR EXISTING PORTAFILTER AND COMPARE THE DIMENSIONS TO THE MEASUREMENTS PROVIDED IN THE ABOVE IMAGES. Thanks.
Caution: This particular Naked Portafilter has been produced by an espresso machine parts manufacturer, the inside is chromed all the way through and the bottom edge is very precise and can be relatively sharp.

Fits my Quickmill Anita, but the filter is slightly high so it doesn't turn all the way to dead center. Seals tight though, so no issues. Can't beat this for the price, it's solid and does the job.

I bought this to go with my Expobar Brewtus IV-R. Works great, though it doesn't turn quite as far in the group head as the stock portafilter does. Seems to make zero difference on performance. Holds the 21g triple basket perfectly. It's great to be able to see what you're doing.

Solid product, balanced well in the hand and you get a 21gram HQ basket. Portafilter fits my La Nuova Era Cuadra HX machine. Not much else to say about it other than you should get one. Much easier to clean and use compared to a spouted PF.

I'm using this with my Rancilio Silvia and it fits great. Well made quality. Another nice 'feature' is when I go to backflush I can just pop the basket by pushing on the bottom without having to use tools.

Good product and it really helps dialing in my technique which after eight years I now know needs work. The finish is very good and the edges are not sharp. I think the staff is what really makes puts the icing on the purchase as they answered all my questions, helped with dosing and were a pleasure to buy from. Now the cup is tasting even better.

Had been looking for a NP for a couple weeks to try and figure out why my shots were rarely the same twice. Was put off when I read "We do not currently carry portafilters specifically for the Isomac, Elektra, Expobar or ECM,". I have an Expobar Brewtus 4. But after seeing the photos with the measurements I measured my portafilter anyway. They were the same as the photo so I gave it a try. It works great with my EB4 Helped me dianose my dosing problem. And without the spout of the regular PF getting in the way my crema is way up. Best thing I've bought since the machine.

Good product. Fits an Expobar Brewtus III pretty well (a little snug, but it works just fine).

Excellent crema, and the triple basket accommodates more ground than my previous double basket. Flavor of espresso is better. I highly recommend this.

After looking at various bottomless portafilters I opted for this one--the lowest price of the bunch. Despite the low price, the quality is very good. And of course it helped solve my troubles getting a good pour.
