You may have been re-directed to this part when attempting to select the old brown fuse, part P15A. In our experience this part is a much better alternative (mainly due to quality), and is a perfectly suitable replacement. La Pavoni Srl in Italy do not use the brown fuse at all anymore, and they were only used in some models produced from ca. 1991 to 1996; after that they were discontinued. A small amount of thermal grease (also called thermal gel, thermal compound, thermal paste, heat paste, heat sink paste or heat sink compound), available at hardware and electronics stores, is necessary. Thermal paste (or “grease”) aids heat transfer between the switch and contact surface by filling in microscopic imperfections in the metal surfaces. It is especially useful for pipe mount applications. A key characteristic of this synthetic thermal grease is it’s long-term material stability. That means it won’t harden, dry out, or melt in normal industrial use. Smear some paste on the sensing head of the thermostat switch prior to bolting or clamping down. (Not to be used as a glue.) The M4 nut for fixing the clip to the element flange is not included.
