Brasilia Ceramic Steam Valve Upper Disk
This is the upper ceramic disk half of Brasilia's ceramic steam and water valve assembly, the flat wear surface that seals against the lower disk to control steam and hot water flow. Ceramic valves run cooler and resist mineral buildup better than older brass-and-rubber designs, but the disks are still wear items that eventually pit and lose their seal. This part is no longer in production, so once remaining stock sells out it will not be available again.
COMPATIBILITY
- Fits: Brasilia espresso machines equipped with ceramic-disk steam and water valves
- Replaces: Brasilia OEM upper ceramic disk (BF_215)
- Works with: Should be replaced together with the matching lower disk for a proper seal
INSTALLATION
Valve disassembly and disk replacement is a manageable DIY job for an experienced home barista, but full machine disassembly to reach the valve stem is best left to a technician.
PRO TIPS
- Always replace the upper and lower disks as a matched pair, even if only one shows visible wear, the mating surface on the other has usually worn unevenly too, and pairing an old disk with a new one will still leak.
- Since this part is discontinued, pick up a spare while stock lasts if your machine sees regular use; there's no guarantee of future availability.
