Thursday Night Throwdown Northwest went back to school for September’s competition. Schoolhouse Coffee will give you flashbacks to elementary the moment you walk in. Inside of their adorable school house built with a bell tower and a convenient drive threw window is their La Marzocco Strada.
16 competitors went head to head on that espresso machine while spectators drank beer and had burgers. DJ dishpin was spinning tunes and making people dance. It was like one of those elementary school classroom parties you would have at the end of the day during the Holidays.
Members from the Olympia Coffee Roasters team were there to help out and emcee the evening. Competitors drove from Seattle, Tacoma and even Lynden, WA to show their skills. Congratulations to our winners!
3rd Place, Jonathan Duncan from Macrina Bakery.
2nd Place, Malia Kuaea from Bluebeard Coffee Roasters
1st Place, Brodie Cole Davis, who just moved to the area form Charlotte, NC
Thank you! And be looking out for a TNTNW at your local coffee shop!
On October 27th we’ll be in Portland, OR at Rust Coffee!
