Barista’s come from all over the U.S. to compete in Coffee Masters during the event. This unique competition tests baristas on all areas of coffee. Everything from cupping, to serving drinks in a busy cafe to creating a signature beverage. We were proud to be cup sponsors for the event. Congratulations to Yuko from Timber Yard on wining this year’s Coffee Masters Award.
This past weekend at New York Coffee Fest was exactly that. Thousands gathered at the 69th Regiment Armory, in Manhattan for coffee culture. What makes New York Coffee Fest different is the focus on the entire coffee experience. There are artists displaying coffee focused drawings and paintings. Stage with live musical acts from across the country. Local food vendors serving baked goods, avocado toast and tasty treats.
The armory is full of creative coffee and tea companies showing of their strengths. We came with a stocked shelf and lots of cold brew.
We displayed our Yama Glass Cold Brew Towers and talked people through how they are used. Maybe you hadn’t realized but they can also be used to brew iced tea. We even ran into one customer who had put fruit in the middle beaker and wine on top to brew some unique sangria.
We love the creativity that the Yama Glass Towers allow and so did everyone that tasted the samples. Our glass cold brew bottles were here and then gone.
Just a few feet behind Yama, stood the Kalita Tsubame drippers, Our Barista Basics T-shirts and swag, limited edition jolly roger skull tamps and Chemex brewers.
