OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) La Marzocco complete portafilter with rubber handle features the "Lion Logo" cast into the metal portion and "La Marzocco" logo type in the comfortable rubber handle. The advantage of the 15 degree angle handle is to keep the freestanding portafilter basket completely level and upright for consistent packing and tamping everytime. This portafilter also fits most machines with the Faema (not the ECM) E61 Group Head: Faema, Isomac, VFA and (with a minor modification) the Rancilio Silvia. Spout and basket NOT included but may be added below.
What is the modification for use with Rancilio Silvia?
We mill about 1mm off of the thickness of the PF ears so that the PF fits better. Some have suggested a slimmer gasket, however that is a patch in our opinion. The bed of coffee will stay the proper distance from the screen if modified correctly |
