Big Brother is watching... well maybe not big brother, but we do know Italian espresso machine part manufacturers are--with the introduction of OEM Factory Bottomless Portafilters. This E61 Group standard bottomless or naked portafilter features a clean precision cut and chrome job where a bottom and spout once resided. This portafilter will fit any E61 group head machine from manufacturers such as Faema, Wega, Grimac, Isomac, Grimac, and a whole host of other espresso machine manufacturers who now use the E61 as well as Rancilio espresso machines. Taste
the difference this Portafilter can make. Our bottomless portafilters
are professionally machine milled to get the cleanest smoothest cut
possible. The Barista can watch the coffee brew right from the bottom
of the filter basket and now immediately if channeling occurs signaling
the user that a level tamp was not made which makes this an invaluable
tool for training. All true professional baristi and coffeegeeks alike
should have one. Most Bottomless Portafilters will accept 21 gram
triple baskets since portafilter body depth is no longer an issue. This
item will come standard with a LM style triple basket (21 Gram) choose
your model below.
This is an item that has created quite a stir
in the specialty coffee hobby and trade. The Bottomless Portafilter has
been referred to as Naked and Crotch-less, but what ever you call it,
it is truly a revelation and an innovation and EspressoParts brought it
to you first. For
excellent information on trouble shooting or "Perfecting the Naked
Portafilter Extraction" read the article of the same title on

Isomac
and Giotto users! please let us know in the comments section that this
is for your brand of machine. Selecting the e-61 option is not enough, as the
Isomac and Giotto use an E61 "style" group and the casting is slightly different than a traditional e-61.
Thanks. Caution: This particular Naked Portafilter has been produced by an
espresso machine parts manufacturer, the inside is chromed all the way
through and the bottom edge is very precise and can be relatively sharp. |
