Low Steam Wand Pressure
Low pressure out of your steam wand? Make sure the first thing you do, prior to adjusting your steam valve, is check that your steam wand tip(s) are not clogged. Remove the tip(s) – using a wrench to unscrew them –

and make sure the holes are clear.

  1. Remove all trays from top of espresso machine.

  1. Locate adjustment nut directly behind front panel, behind steam lever.

  1. Locate brass lock nut behind adjustment nut.

  1. Loosen lock nut by using crescent wrench to turn it clockwise.

It is wise to use 2 wrenches if possible (using one as a “Vice-grip”, the other to turn the nut). This will prevent you from damaging the housing or bending the copper pipes.

  1. Turn adjustment nut clock wise to increase steam pressure.

Turn it to point where steam begins to come out tip of steam wand, then turn back counter clockwise ¼ to ½ turn.

  1. Turn adjustment nut counter clockwise to stop a steam leak.

Turn it to point where steam stops coming out of steam tip, then continue counter clockwise ¼ to ½ turn.
