Ebony is a heavy black, fine-grained heartwood. Ebony is one of the most intensely black woods known, which, combined with its very high density fine texture, and ability to polish very smoothly, has made it very valuable as an ornamental wood.

Will it fit my portafilter?
The 12mm O.D. threaded bolt fits a large majority of the manufacturers out there, except for La Cimbali, Nuova Simonelli, Rancilio and La San Marco, which use a 10mm bolt. One may want to remove their existing handle and check the size first. 12mm = .472 or approximately 15/32 of an inch. Remember, not all manufactures handles simply unthread from the body; some are held in place with a nut and washer. The handle may be held to the body with thread-lock on the bolt as well. In most cases, a vice is needed to remove the handle.
