La Marzocco Complete PID Kit This retrofit kit easily allows La Marzocco Linea & FB-70 owners to upgrade their existing equipment to meet today's strict standards. Similar to the new electronics used in the La Marzocco GB5, this will turn your current La Marzocco machine into a temperature stable modern wonder. All of these PID Temperature Control products are available as individual items.

This La Marzocco PID retro fit modification kit comes with these four components.

Fuji PXR3 PID Controller
The Fuji PXR3 PID Controller digitally controls boiler brew temperature to pre-selected, pre-programmed specifications set by the user.

LM Thermo-Couple
This part replaces the thermostat in brew boiler of La Marzocco espresso equipment. This Thermo-Couple works in conjunction with Fuji PXR3 PID Controller.

V_SSR Solid State Relay
Required power transfer for PID Controller.

Instruction Set

Included with this kit, is a detailed set of shop drawings and installation guidelines. We are now including as well as set of parameters to place into the Fuji PID unit for best results when used on La Marzocco espresso machines.

What is PID?

Proportional-Integral-Derivative PID is currently considered to be one of the "crown jewels" of espresso machine technology. In short PID is a programmable digital control unit, relay and a temperature probe coupled together to allow espresso machine boiler temperatures to be set and fixed to within one tenth of a degree.

Can I install it myself?

If you can replace the pressurestat or thermostat on you La Marzocco machine you can install this kit. If however you are using metric crescent wrench to repair things around your shop, you might look for some assistance ;-) We are happy to suggest a service company in your area, to complete the task.
