it's nice but it turns out i don't really need it if i have a tamp stand. keep it anyway for the occasional tap-tap. also it smells strong.

Very heavy and thick. Only drawback is the strong industrial rubber smell. Hopefully that will fade with time. The mat works well, and the large size is a plus.
